I wanna more

Lord, give me this, give me that.

And just give me more of this.

And if You could also give me more of that.

Our prayers often sound like that.

A proverb in the Bible captures it really well in the book of  Proverbs 30: 15

The leech has two daughters, Crying, “Give! Give!”

Sometimes it’s good to take a break from all the give me, give me prayers.

And give thanks to the Lord instead.

For all He has done.
