“I will go before you
And make the crooked places straight;
I will break in pieces the gates of bronze
And cut the bars of iron.
I will give you the treasures of darkness
And hidden riches of secret places,
That you may know that I, the Lord,
Who call you by your name,
Am the God of Israel.
For Jacob My servant’s sake,
And Israel My elect,
I have even called you by your name;
I have named you, though you have not known Me.”
– Isaiah 45 :2-4

July’s Promise
“Don’t Give Up, Something is about to Happen!”
One of the most powerful messages by Bishop TD Jakes-
“Don’t Give Up, Something is about to Happen!”
“God’s method of bringing you out may not be the method that you would have chosen”
“Now as Jesus passed by, He saw a man who was blind from birth. And His disciples asked Him, saying, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?”
Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him. I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”
When He had said these things, He spat on the ground and made clay with the saliva; and He anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay. And He said to him, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam” (which is translated, Sent). So he went and washed, and came back seeing.” (John 9:1-7)
Healing Words
Great words from Bishop TD Jakes –
Even the most even-tempered, mild-mannered person will at some time rock someone else’s boat. Offenses do come. We must choose to let it go!
*
Too many people become trapped in the “hell” of their experiences long after the wounds were inflicted. Just like your body, your mind and spirit are designed to heal and recover.
*
The real test of faith is in facing the silence when God places you on “hold”.
*
When the promise of God has grown in the fertile ground of a faith-filled heart and reached the time of maturation, it will come to pass.
*
If you can’t fix it…stand there! If you don’t understand it…stand there! If tears are running down your face…stand there! When you want to walk away and quit…stand there!
*
The enemy will try to stop God’s will in your life, but “HE who began a good work in you shall perform it until the day of JESUS CHRIST”
I give You glory
Wonderful song from today’s worship:
The box of seeds
A man going away on a long journey called his two grown up sons & gave them each a box of seeds, blessed them & left without any instructions on using the gift.
The younger son was so excited – for it was indeed a beautiful carved wooden box & inside it, seeds of a lovely shade of brown. He closed the box & then took it & kept it carefully in his room.
Now the older son admired the carvings on the box too but decided that he would use what was inside it. He quickly went to survey the barren land behind his house. With the help of a few people he ploughed the hard earth & when it was just right, he planted all the seeds in neat rows. He made sure it was watered regularly & nurtured it with care.
In due course the older son’s box of seeds had produced a mighty harvest. He was able to sell his crops in the village market at a profit & gather a few sacks of seeds to be planted again! This was possible because he was willing to take a risk & plant the seeds his Father had given him.
The younger son’s box of seeds remained just that – a box in a lonely room gathering dust, with seeds inside it longing to spring to life & produce a harvest if only they could be trusted, given a chance & allowed out of their box.
All of us have within us the seeds of potential & greatness. It is upto us to decide whether we will allow those seeds to grow or hide it where it will never have a chance to emerge.
We need to have the faith to believe that inside us has been placed seeds of talent, creativity, growth & opportunity.
We must do our part to recognize the seeds in our lives, nurture it & help it grow so it can produce a mighty harvest in our lives.
Jesus said
March On
The Lord has appeared of old to me, saying:
“Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love;
Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you.
Again I will build you, and you shall be rebuilt…”
Jeremiah 31:3,4
The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you.
Promise for March via Jesus Calls
You have made known to me the path of life; You will fill me with joy in Your presence, with eternal pleasures at Your right hand.
Psalm 16:11
Happy Days indeed when the Lord is in our midst!
Beauty from Ashes
To give them beauty for ashes,
The oil of joy for mourning,
The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;
That they may be called trees of righteousness,
The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.
Isaiah 61:3
I recently read the book Stormie – A Story of Forgiveness and Healing by Stormie Omartian.
In the book Stormie describes her troubled childhood, being brought up by an abusive Mother who would keep her locked in a closet & the cruel taunts, verbal abuse she endured all through her childhood, even into adulthood.
This is the moving account of her battle with depression, the occult, alcohol & drugs that were a part of her life as a young artist in Hollywood, often performing on the Glen Campbell Show. With a miserable first marriage that followed, which made a bad situation infinitely worse, the anxiety attacks & recurring depression…hers was a tragic life to say the least.
Stormie’s mentally ill Mother was later diagnosed with schizophrenia; the book painfully describes a mind that had simply become sick. Amazing is the steadfastness of her Father, who refused to have his wife committed & endured her insults & insane behaviour till the very end.
What comes out so powerfully is God’s deliverance of a life that was hurtling down the cliffs of destruction. It is a story of such amazing power – the incredible intervention of Jesus Christ as He entered the scene of a devastated life, how He delivered her & restored her to fullness…eventually. Jesus built something beautiful out of a life that was in ruins. It’s awesome what the Master Potter can do!
He has made all things beautiful in its time (Eccl 3:11)
Powerful & inspiring, this is one book which is a must read.

Tis the time to worship
For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
~ Romans 8:38,39
God sometimes wants to shut a door completely before He can open doors to new possibilities. Maybe you have had some doors close in your life. In spite of everything, know that God is stirring you to accomplish His purpose in your life. God knows what it takes to bring order back to your life. Trust Him. He’s working on something and when He’s done, everything around you will be made better.
